Google Keyword Tool Updated with Search Volume Data
The Google keyword tool have been updated and it’s now the ultimate keyword research tool!
Google has added a new feature to its external keyword tool, Google has added approximate search volume numbers. For example, I conducted a search for “SEO Specialist” and the results returned showed columns for “Approx Search Volume: June” and “Approx Avg Search Volume.”
Here’s a screenshot of the updated Keyword Tool:
Remember, the Keyword Tool also provides several other keyword-related metrics that can help you select highly relevant keywords to improve the overall performance of your campaigns. You can easily view data on advertiser competition, search volume trends, estimated average CPCs, and estimated ad positions for keywords.
To learn more about using the Keyword Tool, please see this article from the AdWords Help Center.

Really, really helpful. This kind of tool can make predictive PPC a little more possible. Obviously, you can’t judge your competitions’ bids very closely, but you can get a rough estimate on the amount of clicks a certain keyword will net you in a month. That’s invaluable.
I can’t tell you the amount of times I’ve throw a bunch of broad long tail keywords in the account based on the search volume bar and gotten varied actually results after a week of monitoring it. This will hopefully take some of the guesswork out of it.
